Philip Robinson (performer) and Polly Whitfield (director) produce one-person plays to be performed in people’s living rooms: locally, nationally and in Scandinavia and Europe. We toured Samuel Becket’s “Krapp’s Last Tape” last year, this year is “Title And Deed” by living American playwright Will Eno. It will premier at Credfest before touring domestic settings throughout 2019. Parking for blue badge holders only.
The premier of our new “living room” show will happen in Crediton, in a living room. Come and witness “a powerful and intimate theatrical event”.
An unnamed Man arrives and immediately engages his captive audience by speaking directly to us, in what sounds like our own language. But his first words — “I’m not from here. I guess I never will be” — make it clear that he’s a stranger, a traveller. Not one of us. If you want to see what Becket or Pinter might be writing in the present day, then this show will satisfy you like no other. A hauntingly funny monologue for anyone who has sat among friends at home and thought: "I'm not from here." And that's probably every single one of us.
